Episode 20! Interview with Anne Youngson author of Meet Me at the Museum

Back in August I had the absolute delight of interviewing Anne Youngson, author of the must read, Meet Me at the Museum.  I must thank Caroline Bleeke of Flat Iron Books for sending me the advanced review copy and to both Caroline Bleeke and Amelia Possanza  for helping me put this interview together. Thank you so much ladies and to Anne Youngson for taking the time to speak with me!

Meet Me at the Museum:  A disenchanted farmer’s wife and a widowed museum curator begin a correspondence over their mutual fascination with poet Seamus Heaney’s “The Tollund Man” and gradually share details from their lives, forging an unexpected bond along the way.

Episode 19 Interview with Rene Denfeld author of The Child Finder

I had the absolute pleasure of hosting author Rene Denfeld.                                                                                   We talked about her books, her writing and her incredible love for libraries.

“Libraries literally saved my life.” – Rene Denfeld.

Episode 17: Interview with Tatjana Soli, author of THE REMOVES.

I had the absolute pleasure of hosting Tatjana Soli last month. We talked about her newest book, The Removes, a riveting historical fiction tale of General Custer, his wife Libby and Anne Cummins, a 15-year-old girl abducted by the Cheyenne. The book takes place just at the end of the Civil War and rides us up and into the Battle of Little Big Horn. Did I say it was riveting? Please check it out.

Tatjana Soli is the bestselling author of not-to-be missed books like “The Lotus Eaters, “The Forgetting Tree” and “The Last Good Paradise”.
Must reads all of them and perfect for your book discussion groups.
Soli’s work has been awarded the UK’s James Tait Black Prize and she’s been a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award. Her books have also been twice listed as a New York Times Notable Book.

Episode 15: Adult Summer Reading Kicks Off With This Terrific Interview With Author Susan Henderson

As part of the Merrick Library’s Summer Reading kick off, I had the absolute pleasure of hosting author Susan Henderson on Friday, June 8th.

We discussed her wonderful second novel, The Flicker of Old Dreams.

I had laryngitis, which is probably a master class in what NOT to do while podcasting, but I was way too excited to meet Susan and discuss the book. Susan was a gem to keep the conversation going and I am forever grateful!

Episode 9 Carol Ann Interviews Author Parnaz Foroutan!

I had the absolute pleasure of hosting author Parnaz Foroutan a few weeks ago for this episode. We spoke about the book, motherhood, careers and what’s next for this terrific author. We spoke from two different coasts, so take a listen. I was thrilled to host Parnaz…please read this book.

One of my favorite go-to books when doing Reader’s Advisory is this gem of a story that you may have missed!

Published in 2015, The Girl From The Garden, is the epic tale of Asher, the head of a prosperous Persian-Jewish family. When his first marriage does not produce a male son, he makes a fateful decision that shatters his household and drives his wife Rakhel to desperate measures to preserve her status.

I apologize for my giddy behavior!
